Following the first run of their lauded, rip-roaring live festival appearances, today legendary music duo, Röyksopp, share the gloriously sun-drenched Let’s Get It Right featuring Astrid S. It is the tenth track to be revealed in the ever expanding, acclaimed Profound Mysteries project, following swiftly on from yesterday’s Control, a stomping, beat driven dancefloor number. Both tracks are taken from ‘Profound Mysteries II’, available on 19th August through Dog Triumph .
Speaking about the track Svein Berge & Torbjørn Brundtland said: "We wanted to create a warm and sensual space in which the simple message of the song felt native. And to us, Astrid S had to be a part of that mise-en-scène."
Astrid S commented on the collaboration: “I’m thrilled to share another track from my collaboration with Röyksopp - I’m very happy with how all the songs turned out and can’t wait for everyone to hear them.”
Berge and Brundtland describe Profound Mysteries as the biggest undertaking of Röyksopp’s career. It both encapsulates the unique sound they’ve spent decades honing, and expands on it. It’s a bold look to the future, and an homage to the artists, genres, and musical movements that first inspired them. It’s a project they’ve spent their whole lives making (the oldest ideas date back to the early days of Röyksopp, literally using MIDI data first composed by the band when they were teenagers in the 1990s), and it’s brand new.
Earlier this month, Röyksopp released Profound Mysteries Remixes. The lead track, which was anointed ‘Essential New Tune’ by Pete Tong, is the co-produced &ME remix of the acclaimed BBC 6music-playlisted track Impossible featuring Alison Goldfrapp. Other artists to have remixed tracks from Profound Mysteries I are Rodriguez JR., Township Rebellion and Henry Saiz.
