Foot Locker and adidas are today announcing an augmented reality powered rap cypher to celebrate the launch of the new adidas NMD v3, the latest model within the iconic sneaker franchise.

The Cypher from the Future, part of Foot Locker and adidas “Ever Changing Visions” campaign, will see three rappers who are taking the European scene by storm, perform in a digitally-augmented cityscape.

Viewers can tune in from their phones via to watch the performance from Midlands rap prodigy Sainté (Leicester, UK), AWA Gang’s newest recruit Nahir (Paris, France) and Central Cee collaborator Sacky (Milan, Italy).

They’ll be able to project the cypher into their own surroundings, with each of the trailblazing rappers’ digital avatars donning the new adidas NMD sneakers.

Content from the broader campaign also features the three rappers within a digitally distorted urban background.

The new adidas NMD v3 sneaker, available at Foot Locker from Thursday 28th April, is a futuristic update on a classic adidas Originals silhouette. Made from high-performance recycled materials, and featuring a boost on the sole with a transparent heel clip to bring a layered look to the design, the NMD v3 fuses the classic elements of a running trainer with a modern twist.
