The young French label Humbleness Production returns with the 2nd extract from its Boom Shell Riddim series. After creating a surprise last December with an unreleased Leroy ‘Heptones’ Sibbles, this time it is Mykal Rose, ex lead-vocal of the legendary Black Uhuru who comes to the version! As a reminder, it is the pioneer Leroy Sibbles who was responsible for composing the Boom Shell Riddim, in co-production with Jeh Lion and his label Humbleness Productions.
With Street’s No More, Mykal Rose does not deviate from his line of conduct and denounces the injustices of our society through a message of universal hope: Can’t hustle in the streets no more! he addresses to this suffering youth. For this new 2020 riddim, it is Heptones frontman Leroy Sibbles on bass, Kingsley Boyd on drums, Donavan Palmer on keyboards and the late Dalton Browne (who died in November 2020) on guitar. Recording Street's No More took place at the Michael Rose Studio (Miami) captured by Mr. Rose Junior who is none other than the son of the singer now serving as sound engineer #FamilyTing.
The mixing and mastering work has been entrusted to Anchor Studio (Kingston, JA) for an authentic and high quality rendering. Mykal Rose's single Street's No More - 2nd single from ‘Boom Shell Riddim’ - will be available for pre-order on January the 29th and on all streaming and download platforms on the 12th of February 2021! An animated video will accompany the release of this tune. And we recently know that Mykal Rose and Humbleness want to offer a video for this piece, so the artist will soon be staging ... in the streets of Miami! Stay tuned ...
