On Saturday 20 Feb from 20:00-01:00am, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy is bringing one of London’s cult and most loved parties, ‘Cosmodelica’ to people’s homes.
This will be the first dance in the 2021 series of free, one-off interactive streams during lockdown, which has previously seen nine-hour parties at Giant Steps, Brixton’s Prince Of Wale featuring legendary names like François K, festival sets at Dekmantel, Houghton and Boiler Room. Set yourself for a five-hour sonic and visual odyssey where all are welcome to join a virtual dancefloor like no other and surrender themselves to an unmissable DJ set and dance as one. Cosmodelica shares its name with Colleen Murphy’s monthly Worldwide FM show, spotlighting the broad diversity of dance music from psyche, funk, balearic to disco, house to techno. The party continues to serve the community values that mentor and cultural icon David Mancuso of The Loft (and London’s Lucky Cloud Loft Party which they co-founded) laid down and which club culture as we know it is built upon. With the dance floor as a safe space of inclusivity in which people can express and celebrate life regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or economic status - Cosmodelica has quickly became one of London’s mainstays with enviable guest sets multiple residencies across the capital as well as major festival bookings.
Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy adds: "The Cosmodelica House Parties are as real as a party can get at the moment. People from all over the world dress up, make special cocktails and hang out collectively in their own Zooms dancing the night away. It feels so special to have the Cosmodelica global community come together and experience the full five hours, as they would on the real dance floor.
