Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Adam Douglas is keeping the flames of his relationship alive with new single ‘Build A Fire’. American born Douglas has built his career as a touring musician, but time on the road means long periods away from his wife and family. The track explores these feelings of loneliness, whilst appreciating his wife’s unwavering support for his career, acknowledging the efforts required from both of them to keep their relationship burning strong.

Now permanently residing in Norway, Douglas is known for his ability to write songs which are intended to be performed to a crowd. Though unexpectedly shy in person, he comes alive on stage and is considered one of the best guitar players on the scene. He rose to national fame in Norway in 2017 when he won the televised competition Stjernekamp (Battle of the Stars) going on to tour the whole of the country.

With this new single, Douglas pays tribute to the person who has stuck by him through it all...

“At first I thought the song was about trying to attract someone. But then I realized it’s more about keeping the fire going at home. It’s a big world out there, with many temptations. But still the best feeling I know is coming home to my wife and my family knowing that I’m with the people I truly care about and love, and that it’s a feeling we share.”

‘Build A Fire’ follows on from January’s release ‘Into My Life’ and precedes his forthcoming third studio album ‘Better Angels’, out in March. Sonically, it blurs genre boundaries and showcases Adam’s versatility as an artist. With flavours of Americana, soul, blues and jazz we hope it’s a taste of what is to come with the new record.
