Iconic bandleader and pianist Jools Holland and Jim Moir — best known as British comedy star and artist Vic Reeves — have joined forces for a brand-new podcast series, Jools and Jim’s Joyride. Launching with episode one of series one on Wednesday 27 January, the irreverent comedy pairing will be joined by a raft of weekly celebrity guests as Jools and Jim buckle up and hit the road, chattering about transport, travel, trips and general tittle-tattle to unravel the inner psyche of each guest.
Fueled by Jim and Jools’ long-term love of motoring, season one of Joyride features a huge range of celebrity talent and their eclectic tales of travel. Thumbing a lift for episode one, which is available to stream now, is hailed comedian and the other half of legendary duo Vic and Bob, Bob Mortimer.
After winning over the public with their hilarious chemistry on Celebrity Gogglebox, Jools and Jim will play host to the likes of pop superstar and podcast royalty Jessie Ware, acclaimed actress Sally Phillips and Formula One world champion Damon Hill. Meanwhile, in episode two, available on Wednesday 3rd February, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominated actress and singer Jane Horrocks comes aboard the good ship Joyride.
Streaming on all major podcast platforms, the 8-episode series has been produced by Molly Stewart and Joel Grove for Dig!Studios and Warner Music Entertainment. The podcast also features an original cover design by Jim Moir. A prolific artist as well as comedian, Moir published Vic Reeves Art Book in October 2020.
