The unique Josiah Bassey wrote the song “Hold us together”, featured in the new Disney Plus movie “Safety”.

Relocated in New York City since 2016, all the way from Nigeria, he is a top songwriter that all the stars want to collaborate with.

His new song “Hold us together” is performed by the R&B superstar and multiple Grammy winner, H.E.R.

“Hold us together” was also produced by the most nominated R&B producer at the 2020 Grammy Awards, D’ Mile, who also worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Usher, and many more.

Josiah Bassey has always been inspired by his culture and the musicians who surrounded him in his native country:
"I grew up seeing a lot of talented people, and a lot of them lived in my house, because my dad was the pastor of the church, he housed a lot of different musicians."

Now surrounded by the best in the industry, he is the go to songwriters for hits.

Josiah Bassey works with the most renowned producers, artists and performers in the world.

This past year only, Josiah worked with J White on a song for RCA signed R&B artist Tone Stith. J White is best known for producing Cardi B's chart-topping singles, "Bodak Yellow" (2017) and "I Like It" (2018).
He also worked with Grammy Award Winning Producer Swagg, who produced the song “Devotion” as well as artists such as H.E.R., Alicia Keys, Kehlani, and Ne-Yo to name a few.

Josiah Bassey also toured with Grammy Nominated artist Kierra Sheard in 2016 during her “Bridges Tour” and co-wrote a song with young singer Victoria Dennis.

His collaborations say a lot about his expertise.

"I’m always working on new materials. I write a lot of different styles and genres for myself and other artists. However, I’m doing a lot of fusion with AfroBeats and R&B."
