Following the release of Night Magic Vol. I produced by JKriv, and ‘Heart To The Ocean’ feat. Gabi Sklar, Studio 54 Music has teamed up again with hitmakers Greg Cohen and Kris Vanderhayeden, featuring Los Angeles based singer/songwriter duo, The Crushboys, on a new disco vocal release with hip hop and R&B flair, ‘Salt In The Air’ is out on all streaming platforms on October 23rd 2020.

As a leading producer pushing the disco sound into the modern dance scene, Greg Cohen has made waves in the music scene as DJ Cassidy’s production partner, producing hits in collaboration with CHIC’s Nile Rogers on tracks ‘Kill The Lights’ and ‘Calling All Hearts’ featuring Robin Thicke, Jesse James, and members of Earth Wind & Fire. His music has been featured and synced on Netflix’s ‘The Get Down’, HBO’s ‘Vinyl’, and ‘Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland’. Kris Vanderhayeden is a serious player and pioneer in the Belgian electronic music scene, has produced number one hits for Janet Jackson and Blondie, and added serious grooving aspects to the new Studio 54 record.

The Crush Boys are a rising singer/songwriter duo based out of Los Angeles, who describe Freddie Mercury and Luther Vandross as major inspirations, and have worked with the likes of Chris Brown, Jacquees, and WNDR recently.

As disco continues to stand at the forefront of today’s pop culture with releases by Daft Punk, Dua Lipa, and DOJA Cat, ‘Salt In The Air’ continues to feed the modern disco trend, and is a testament to Studio 54’s Mission in 2020: to take the sounds, culture and antics of the famed disco club, and embody it into it he modern dance music scene.
October is a big month for the disco imprint, with the Night Magic exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum reopened until Mid-November, a new line of branded merch incoming, and Night Magic Vol. I getting pressed on vinyl later in the month.
