I am very pleased to announce that after a six-week run and with the help of A-list supporters, the general public and the creative industry, War Child exceeded their original target of £300,000 by raising a staggering £500,000 in 6 weeks for children whose lives have been torn apart by war. Highlights from War Child’s Emergency Coronavirus Crowdfunder include:
· £500,000 raised in six weeks to help children and families affected by war
· 87 high-profile figures spanning the arts and entertainment industries donated over 100 prizes or experiences
· Over 9,200 funders donated across the 6 weeks
· Over 16,000 entries to the £5 prize draws for a chance to win exclusive prizes or experiences
