Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.
Ghita – ‘Real Lies’
Having already found herself heralded by the likes of Paper, Wonderland, Clash Magazine and many more for her recent releases, emerging artist Ghita now returns with her latest pop triumph ‘Real Lies’. With its fresh and uplifting aesthetic, her newest release juggles between commercial pop and sultry RnB to create a wonderfully engaging groove.
Jane – ‘MANCHILD’
Following on from the love and praise she received for her previously shared singles ‘BIRTHCONTROL’ and ‘boys 2 MEN’, both of which garnered huge numbers on Spotify, Jane now delivers her next adventurous offering ‘MANCHILD’. Working in collaboration with producer Robaroe, the pair knock up a bright and almost experimental sound, filled with spiked electronics and a wonderfully warped sensibility.
Chantae Vertice – ‘Run To The Money’
With her previous release ‘Vain’ clocking up more than 200k views on YouTube, fast-rising rapper and singer Chantae Vertice now returns with her latest high-energy stomper ‘Run To The Money’. With a direction that is all about female empowerment, this new release is one of those hard and thunderous club stompers that sees her follow in the footsteps of acts like Missy Elliott and Major Lazer.
Mont Duamel – ‘By My Side’
With the love still pouring in for his fresh and exciting debut single ‘Find Myself’ earlier this year, Grammy-nominated producer Mathieu Jomphe Lepine returns with the sophomore cut from his Mont Duamel project, ‘By My Side’. Channelling the same adventurous direction of acts like Glass Animals and Animal Collective, the artist offers up a wave of glittering sounds and sonic adventures on this vibrant new stunner.
Lexxicon – ‘Doing To Me’
With a sound that has been described as a cross between PartyNextDoor and Swae Lee, Toronto-based artist Lexxicon is back once again with another genre-bending delight in the form of ‘Doing To Me’. Mixing up the styles of RnB, hip-hop and afrobeats throughout his newest gem, the singer creates a broad and adventurous direction that showcases the eclectic sound of his latest EP.
