The remix sees Adhelm (real name Beni Giles) take the intoxicating jazzy soul of ‘Misty Head / Sunny Street’ and strip it down to its raw fundamentals - deconstructed but no less propulsive, the result in a slice of skewed, glitched-out electronica that falls somewhere between Flying Lotus, DJ Shadow and Thundercat.

Talking about the remix, Oscar explains: “Adhelm helped Maxwell Owin and I with the mixing of the original track so he had the stems sitting on his computer and one he day he just casually sent me this remix on WhatsApp and I was like ‘wooo this is funky you sly bastard, we need to put this out!’ It was too good not to share so here it is.”

Skirting the line between loose playful jazz, funky neo-soul and lo-fi hip-hop, Oscar Jerome is a staple of the same deeply-creative London scene that also birthed the likes of Moses Boyd, Sons of Kemet, Poppy Ajudha, Jay Prince, James Messiah and Joe Armon-Jones - all of which Oscar has collaborated with in some capacity, whether on stage or in the studio.

Following a restless 2018 – a year that saw him playlisted and tipped by 6 Music, 1Xtra, Radio 1 and Boiler Room, sell out London's Village Underground and tour both sides of the Atlantic – Oscar is clearly looking to keep up that momentum and the EartH show, European tour and new single, now with an accompanying remix, sees him kick things off in style.
