Who thought of the music video concept? The video concept was done by the amazing team, Lozen Fukem and Kodi Zene. Lozen came up with a lot of the story, and Kodi trans-lated it to video. I also had a few ideas that I pitched in. Overall, it was an awesome col-laborative work. From the moment we were talking about the idea and visual, I knew I was in good hands and it motivated me to want to work on something amazing.

Who wrote the song? The song was written by me, Joaquin Torres, music and lyrics, with Mark Strickland as a co-writer.

Where was the video filmed? The video was filmed in Dallas, TX (USA).

What is the video about? The video is a visual story of desire and fantasies of longing to have someone. Sometimes reality and fiction meet halfway and it creates a certain tension of the carnal pleasures. (The video isn’t explicit but instead suggestive.)

What has been the hardest part about making a video? The Hardest part of making the video was the Texas heat! I drank about 6 liters of water or even more on the 2 days that we were filming. We were shooting in a three story warehouse building where we were con-stantly going up and down the stairs. It was very tiring going up and down the stairs for so many hours. Luckily, the whole crew kept the momentum going and we were able to stay strong.

How long did the process take to take the video? Filming the video only took 2 days but we, Lozen, Kodi and I, were talking for several weeks prior to shooting the video about dif-ferent ideas and locations. When we finished shooting, it took about a month for post pro-duction and I am very proud of the result.

Where do you see yourselves in 5 years? My 5 year goal is to be performing in front of large crowds all over the world. Hopefully, collaborating with other artists that I admire, like SIA, Dua Lipa, Afrojack, Robbie Williams, Peter Hook, amongst others.

What 5 artists inspire you the most and has they played into your sound? 5 Artists that influenced my sound are Joy Division, Robbie Williams, The Doors, U2, The Cure, etc.

What’s been the hardest realities of the music business? To me, the most difficult reali-ties of the music business has been being patient for things to happen. I’ve spent count-less hours in the studio working to make everything perfect. The reality is that nothing is perfect, per say, but just as long as you believe in your work, that is the most important thought to have in mind.

What are your favorite places to tour and why? My Favorite place to perform is the whole world, because every place gives you something different. Even when the crowds can be rough, it is a great opportunity to find out how you can engage with them.

What advice would you give budding musicians? My advice to other fellow musicians starting out would be to be open to creativity and don’t say no when there is an idea that doesn't necessarily go with yours. Also, work with a producer that really understands you. (Shout out to my producer and friend, ALDO MUÑOZ!) The most important thing, in my opinion, is to focus on the song and put your ego aside. You could be working with the best producer in the world but don’t forget to have a great song. While you may think that marching to the beat of your own drum all the time is a strength, many times it can be a weakness because you don’t leave much room to being open which hinders creativity and it can make the creative process very dull.

What made you want to be a musician? The need to express myself in the language that I understand the best is what drives me to be a musician. It is also what gives me purpose in life and when I feel most productive. It started out as a hobby but turned into my pas-sion. It gives me focus and a connection to my well being.
