Not3s, Pale Waves, Rex Orange County, Sigrid, Yxng Bane and Years & Years all performed at BBC Music Sound of 2018 Live yesterday evening.

The intimate gig featured performances from a selection of the future new music talent tipped for success this year by influential musical experts - as a part of the BBC Music Sound Of 2018 longlist.

The event was hosted by Annie Mac and broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 from the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios. Sigrid - the BBC Music Sound of 2018 winner - played a bouncy set ending with new single 'Strangers'.

Rapper Not3s played his debut hit 'Addison Lee' before welcoming Mabel to perform their new single 'My Lover'. Previous winners Years & Years closed the event to the delight of the invited audience.

21 year old Norwegian pop singer Sigrid was voted 2018’s winner of the coveted BBC Music Sound Of and has had a rapid rise to acclaim since first making music four years ago, with her debut single Don't Kill My Vibe premiering on Radio 1 in February 2017 when it was named ‘Hottest Record in the World’.

Annie Mac says: “Sound Of 2018 Live is one of the first opportunities to see and hear some of the most exciting new artists in 2018. There is a performer on this line-up for everyone and I’m really looking forward to having them all perform at Maida Vale live on the show. Having the brilliant returning winners Years & Years on the line-up is an added bonus!”

Pale Waves say: “We’re really excited to be a part of the gig celebrating the BBC Sound of 2018. It's an honour to be included in the list, and will be a great start to the year for us!”

Sigrid says: “I’m very excited to perform at the prestigious Maida Vale Studios alongside some great artists. Can’t Wait!”
