Michael Ball and Alfie Boe charity single 'Bring Me Sunshine'
23 December 2017
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe have rounded up some of the biggest names in showbiz to feature on their special charity single 'Bring Me Sunshine', to raise funds for children's charity Rays of Sunshine. The song, originally by comedy duo Morecambe and Wise, is out now on Decca Records and Universal Music UK.
The all star group includes Miranda Hart, Imelda Staunton, Jason Manford, Gareth Malone, Mel Giedroyc, Gregory Porter, Seal, Angela Rippon, Kelsey Grammer and many more. They are joined by the Rays of Sunshine Children's Choir, made up of a group of children all living with a serious illness.
Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity grants wishes for seriously ill children and teenagers across the UK. After getting to know the charity, Michael and Alfie have been so moved by their work that they wanted to do more, and so reached out to bring sunshine into the lives of desperately ill children this Christmas.
Decca will donate 100% of all profits, whilst committing to a minimum donation of 50p from the sale of each permanent download to Rays of Sunshine (Registered Charity No. 1102529) (England and Wales). The artists and producers will forgo any royalties due to them in connection with this charity single.
'Bring Me Sunshine' features on Ball & Boe's recent hit No.1 album ‘Together Again’, which has reached gold disc status, selling 100,000 copies after just 3 weeks in the UK album chart
The No.1 album follows the runaway success of the duos debut record ‘Together’, which was not only 2016’s best-selling album in the UK, but soared to the Christmas No.1 album slot last year and has reached double-platinum status, with over 600,000 copies sold in the UK.
