Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

This week we have a mix of videos and singles from some of the best upcoming artists in indie and electronica.

SJBRAVO – Waterline

‘Waterline’ is an emphatic wonder that is richly coated in dream-like soundscapes and trip-hop like progressions. SJBRAVO’s debut EP ‘We Never Dream’ sparkles in electronica splendour that stays close to his influences such as Bastille and Years & Years.

PUZZLE - Little Black Book

Puzzle’s latest single ‘Little Black Book’ casts some real spellbinding and provocative themes. Puzzle hones a style that creeps on the upbeat spark of Dan Croll, yet encompasses a broodiness of darker styles like Banks. The dark pop mystique that surrounds the track has us sitting on the edge of our seats for more.

SAINT WKND – Golden

‘Golden’ represents the first single from SNT WKND’s debut EP ‘Golden Youth’, which will be released later this year. The initial delicacy of keys enhances the power in Hoodlem's vocals, evoking raw emotion throughout the track. The song perfectly encapsulates a combination of trip hop and warm synths that create a futuristic vibe. SAINT WKND’s progressive development of production, intertwined with the beautifully composed lyrics uplifts the mood of the track, whilst making it irresistibly catchy.

Malaika – I Don’t Feel The Same

‘I Don’t Feel The Same’ marks a new chapter for Malaika, as the young singer/songwriter continues to explore the possibilities of combining her Jazz, Soul and Pop influences. The stripped back production provides the perfect foil for Malaika’s intimate vocal delivery and from the heart lyrics. Whilst retaining a sense of fun, her music portrays a maturity not often found in someone at the beginning of their musical journey.

Liv Dawson – Searching

Liv Dawson’s latest single is a blissful electronic romantic call-out. Coated in Disclosure-sounding synth lines and bubbly vocal hooks, Liv’s latest work has taken her sound somewhere closer to the dancefloor than her previous tracks.
