Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

This week have a great mix of indie-rock as well as a few alternative-pop gems from some of the best upcoming artists.

PATHS - Neoprene

PATHS debut single ‘Neoprene’ rings a light, ethereal-like and bouncy personality just moments into the track. Her authentic song-craft is something to be admired and this is easy to tell from this impressive debut single.

PLAZA – Origami

With ‘Origami’, their first single of 2017, and first single taken from a forthcoming EP slated for an April release, they make a compelling statement that 2017 could be their year. Twitchy 6/8 rhythms and walls of icy guitars provide the bed for Bradley Lennard’s evocative vocals, boosting PLAZA’s self-destructive brand of post-indie.

Cattle & Cane – Make Your Vision

Cattle & Cane have released their second single from their upcoming sophomore album Mirrors. ‘Make Your Vision’ is a taster of their more developed and mature sound, which moves away from their debut album but still glistens greatly with their recognised sound and vigour. With blissful lyricism that strikes out like a powerful anthem, the song is a call-out to anyone feeling pressured, to persist and achieve their goals.

Astronomyy – Don’t Need U

This self-produced sounding track is the latest single ‘Don’t Need U’ from heartbreaker Astronomyy. Lush, transcending guitar plucks and tasty sounding percussion are some of the ingredients for this effortless track.

Ailbhe Reddy – Relent

Emerging alt-pop artist Ailbhe Reddy returns with a new single ‘Relent’. An immensely dynamic track that flourishes in strings, reverb dabbled guitars and trashy drumbeats. Ailbhe’s holds a huge potential for creating engaging and forward-thinking pop music.
