Tonight - 7th December - Music-News.com headed down to Skate at Somerset House for Club Nights 2016 with Soho Radio.

Djing were Eddie Piller, Tasty Lopez and 4 To The Floor London, each set streamed live on Soho Radio. A lovely concoction of sounds greeted the revellers with Leroy Hutson, Bobby Womack, and Gill Scott-Heron amongst the voices helping to propel the skaters, of all abilities, around the famous Somerset House ice rink.

It has become a staple in the lead up to Christmas and rightly so, the ice rink, Neoclassical courtyard and huge Christmas tree, combine for a picture postcard scene doused with music, lights and festive cheer.

Fortnum’s Christmas Arcade gives up the perfect opportunity to find a festive treat or two while the Fortnum’s Lodge beckons with cocktails and bubbles a plenty.

A mulled wine in the Skate Lounge is also highly reccomended where you can hear the live sets whilst keeping warm inside even when those south westerly winds bringing all this very mild air pass us by.

A musical courtyard ice-rink bathed in coloured lights, that is sure to make the festive period that little bit sweeter, we highly reccomend it!
