20 years ago, Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò) was written especially for the world’s most popular tenor, Andrea Bocelli, and since then has made its everlasting mark on the music world. To mark the milestone moment, Bocelli is re-recording the song for a special 20th Anniversary Edition of his hit album ‘Romanza’ – to be released on Decca Records on 18th November.

Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò) was famously performed by Andrea Bocelli and British soprano Sarah Brightman in 1996 at the final boxing match of light-heavyweight champion Henry Maske. The match, which was broadcast to 21 million viewers worldwide, introduced Andrea to the world stage. To this day it remains amongst the best-selling singles ever having sold over 12 million copies globally. It has been covered by numerous artists and helped launch the careers of singers including Katherine Jenkins and Paul Potts.
Andrea has performed it regularly since then at venues around the world – from New York’s iconic Central Park to Leicester City’s Premier League-winning home game earlier this year.
