Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has escaped charges following an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Me&U singer Cassie reportedly tried to break things off with the Bad Boy Records boss during a car ride on 18 August (16), allegedly causing Diddy to steal her phone and jump out of their vehicle.
Cassie then left in the car with the driver, and her mother called police in Beverly Hills following the incident.
The 46-year-old I'll Be Missing You hitmaker subsequently gave his girlfriend her phone back, and Cassie was reportedly adamant she did not want to bring any charges against Diddy.
At the time, cops filed a domestic incident report anyway, but after investigating the matter, they have now determined no violence was involved, and no crime was committed, TMZ.com reports.
The couple was rumoured to have split after the fight, but Diddy silenced the claims on Friday (26Aug16), when he shared a sweet social media post in honour of Cassie's 30th birthday.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! @cassie I LOVE YOU ALWAYS. GOD BLESS YOU," he wrote beside a photo montage of the singer.
And, in a video footage from Cassie's birthday party that night, an overly-excited Diddy can be heard shouting happy birthday to his girlfriend.
The rapper is currently recovering from rotator cuff surgery on his shoulder, which has delayed the start of his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour from 25 August to 1 September (16).
Diddy underwent the operation for the fourth time back May (16) and documented his hospital trip on Snapchat in a series of videos taken before and after the procedure.
