Singer Justin Bieber has orchestrated a "military operation" to touch down for his performance at the V Festival on Saturday (20Aug16) night.

The Sorry singer served as the headline entertainer for the annual music event held this year (16) at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, England, and getting the superstar on location for the festivities was no small feat.

"There is a military operation to get Bieber on site," a source told UK newspaper The Mirror. "He's arriving via helicopter and a convoy of four cars will get him to the main stage."

Justin hopped onstage after singer Sia concluded her show, with the 22-year-old Canadian hitmaker closing out performances for the evening.

But there is talk suggesting he intends on keeping the party going far after his gig comes to an end.

"Rumours are circulating at the festival that he's throwing a party on site tonight in the artist area backstage," the insider added. "The likes of Jesse Glynne and Tinnie Tempah have dressing rooms in the area and it's (Justin's party) likely to be packed with talent."

However, it's unlikely he'll have much to celebrate as fans took to Twitter in droves to slam his performance, claiming they were disappointed because it appeared he had been lip-synching.

"Gutted! I love love love Justin Bieber but tonight at V he was miming. Not cool," one fan tweeted, with another lamenting: "Nah @justinbieber is miming at V Fest. I ain't paid £80 for a ticket to his tour to listen to his CD and see him run around the stage".

Bieber has certainly been having a grand time since landing in the UK, as he spent Friday (19Aug16) night partying with the likes of Rihanna and other celebrities at London hotspot Tape.

While onstage he even admitted to feeling the effects of his huge evening out the night before.

"I'm a little hungover, I'm not gonna lie," he told the crowd. "I don't there a more real place in the world than the UK. You guys don't like to fake anything, which I can respect."

The line-up for the two-day V Festival this year is impressive, as Mike Posner, Joe Jonas' band DNCE, and Flight Facilities also took to the stage on Saturday. On Sunday (21Aug16) attendees can expect to see performances by Rihanna, David Guetta, Little Mix, Big Sean, Kaiser Chiefs and over 40 other top acts.
