Kid Rock's personal assistant Mike Sacha has died aged 30 in an ATV accident.

Sacha is believed to have been transporting guests from a barbecue in the grounds of Rock's Whites Creek estate in Nashville to an Uber taxi on the property's driveway at around midnight on Monday (25Apr16). According to The Tennessean newspaper, police said in a news release that Sacha appeared to have lost control of the ATV he was driving and crashed on his way back to the house.

Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, and a friend found Sacha's body late on Monday morning and called for help but when the Nashville Fire Department arrived, he was already deceased.

Following Sacha's death, Rock wrote a lengthy tribute to his assistant in an emotional post on his official website.

"I am beyond devastated to report that my personal assistant Mike Sacha passed away today in an ATV accident here in Nashville," he wrote. "He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with. I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I can not imagine how they must feel. Myself, the band, our family, friends and co-workers are devastated over this loss."

Rock added that while he and his entourage were meant to have travelled to Michigan on Tuesday (26Apr16), he has made the decision to stay with Sacha's body "until I can bring him home to his family".

"We've already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumours before they spread," he continued. "I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families' privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend."
