Shift K3Y is in the throws of releasing his brand new single “Gone Missing”, a song which speaks volumes of talent. The sound is very much of the moment; a true dose of 2016 Garage. Now the multi-talented musician, real name Lewis Jankel, has partnered with Relentless Energy Drink for the second clip for the single, which currently sits on both the Radio 1 and 1XTRA playlists.

The visual perfectly compliments the Garage sound; a high-octane production which continues the story of an urban party scene, as illustrated in the original. Portraying a more polished aspect of production, and filmed live at the Relentless House party in December, the second cut goes on to express youth culture at its finest. Bringing together classic house party elements, with an underground club environment, the video speaks loudly of a youthful and responsibility-free lifestyle.

A long time in the making, “Gone Missing”, was originally written with Becky Hill in 2014, and Lewis has been awaiting the correct moment to release the single to the world. The track now features vocalist BB Diamond, who has spent the last year on tour as a backing-vocalist for Jess Glynne. Having spent the Summer touring alongside the likes of Steve Aoki, DJ Snake, and Bauuer, as well as receiving co-signs from Skrillex very early on in his career, it’s apparent that Shift K3Y is a truly special, and acknowledged talent in electronic music.

Speaking on the meaning behind “Gone Missing”, Lewis states: “Words cant really describe how excited I am for this release, it has been the longest in the making out of all my tracks so far. The journey that this track has taken, and everything that has been thrown at it…its still standing in time for release! To me this is what I would consider a new school take on a very familiar UKG sound.”

In celebration of “Gone Missing”, Shift K3Y will be playing The Nest in East London on the 30th of January.
