Major Lazer's 'Lean On' video breaks billion mark

The video for "Lean On," the global smash hit from superstars Major Lazer has reached 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming one of only 16 videos to do so.

The milestone caps off a monumental year for Major Lazer—the collaborative project of Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire.



"Lean On" became the most successful song released by an independent label of all time at pop radio last summer when it reached #1 on the Top 40 chart, and was named Spotify's Global Song of the Summer. The track is taken from the group's critically acclaimed Peace is the Mission, which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Album chart and #12 on the Billboard 200.

Diplo is nominated for Producer of the Year at this year's Grammy Awards, as well as Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording for his collaborative project with Skrillex, Jack Ü, and their Justin Bieber-featuring hit "Where Are Ü Now."
