Former One Direction star Zayn Malik is said to be besotted with his rumoured new girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid.
The two stars have set tongues wagging after being spotted out on numerous occasions looking cosy, and they seemingly confirmed the romance after recently being snapped leaving The Nice Guy restaurant in Los Angeles clutching each others' hand.
"Zayn is slightly besotted with Gigi," an insider told Britain's Grazia magazine. "He's been the one heavily pursuing her, rather than the other way round. He thinks she's stunning, and it wouldn't harm his profile to be dating a top U.S. model as he launched his solo career. Gigi is slightly more ambivalent. She's aware of Zayn's bad-boy reputation, and is approaching with caution. She even invited her sister Bella on the their date to The Nice Guy to encourage Zayn to behave himself."
Gigi, 20, is newly single after her relationship with Joe Jonas broke down in November (15). Zayn, 22, ended his engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards in August (15), with many believing he did so by text message. The singer has denied this is the case, but Gigi is apparently wary of getting too close.
"Gigi has reservations about getting serious with Zayn," the source said. "But at the moment they're just having fun and seeing where it goes,"
the insider adds. "(At The Nice Guy) they just hung out and had a few beers, but made sure they closed the curtains as the night drew on - they're both keen to keep things as discreet as possible."
On Monday (30Nov15) Gigi took to Twitter after Joe unfollowed her on Instagram. He also deleted an image of himself with Zayn and Kanye West captioned #SQUAD.
"There's just no need to be judgmental about situations that are not your own," she tweeted. "Let live."
"I've found the only way to happiness is by living as though the microscope isn't there. If there was a real way to sit with each one of you and tell you my side of things, I would. But there's not, so I won't."
However Gigi swiftly deleted the posts.
