Pop star Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid have reportedly struck up a romance.
Just weeks after Hadid split from Joe Jonas, and months since Zayn ended his engagement to former fiancée Perrie Edwards, the two young stars have found each other.
According to new reports, Zayn and Gigi are a hot new couple, although neither of them are ready to make a commitment yet.
"It’s a very new thing," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "They're just seeing where it goes.
"I wouldn't call them boyfriend and girlfriend. But seeing each other? Definitely."
However, there is already some sort of imbalance in the relationship, as Zayn, 22, is supposedly smitten with Gigi.
"He's chuffed," the insider noted.
Zayn has also been romantically linked to an American public relations professional, named Carlyn Bryan, in the months since his split from Little Mix star Perrie, while model Gigi is coming off two high-profile flings with Jonas and, before him, a two-year on-off relationship with Australian singer Cody Simpson, which fizzled out in May (15).
And reports suggest Zayn isn't quite over Perrie, 22 - sources claim the former couple has been in touch with each other, despite the acrimonious break-up, and he is attempting to make amends.
"Perrie's been trying to keep her contact with Zayn under wraps because she fears some people could judge her for running back to him," the insider told Britain's Closer magazine. "Zayn has asked her to go away for a few days together so they can hang out. Perrie's torn over what to do. She still loves him but she's not sure if she's ready to go back."
Meanwhile Perrie has made it very clear she is loving single life.
During an interview with her all-girl pop group Little Mix, Perrie claimed going out with her friends and flirting with cute suitors has been incredibly fun.
“I’m having an absolute blast,” she told UK newspaper The Mirror, admitting hitting the disco with girlfriends is the best. “We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs... I love it. I love going out. I’m feeling brilliant and I’m in a good place – and I’ve got new hair. (Little Mix bandmate) Jade can be a bad influence, but she always looks after me and makes sure I don’t get too drunk."
