James Corden has recorded a track for Kylie Minogue's new album, according to record label sources.

The British actor is actually best known for presenting America's The Late Late Show and appearing in UK comedy Gavin & Stacey, but it seems he has an impressive pair of pipes on him too.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the comedian will appear on the Aussie singer's Christmas classics album in a duet. And it's said to be such a hit, it could even become the record's lead single, which would mean a festive music video for Kylie and James.

“James recorded the track in secret with Kylie after she asked him to feature," a record insider told the publication.

“It was meant to be the jokey song on the album but producers were so impressed there’s a strong chance it’s going to be the lead single. James is a very good singer and the song is actually a great listen.”

Rumours of Kylie's Christmas album first surfaced in July. Apparently she will be working with the same people behind her Abbey Road Sessions album.

It's thought her younger sister Dannii will also feature and the songs will be upbeat, fun and catchy.

“Kylie is halfway through recording it. It’s believed all the tracks will be disco-influenced," a source previously told The Sun.
“It’s likely the album will include a mixture of festive classics and even some original material.

“She wants to take her time on a new release but can’t be away from the charts for long, so a Christmas album is the obvious choice.”

Fans of the The Late Late Show are used to seeing James belt out songs with his famous guests on his Carpool Karaoke segment. This week he was joined by music legend Stevie Wonder, who reduced the host to tears with a rendition of I Just Called To Say I Love You.
