One Direction proved they still have star power without Zayn Malik at last night's Teen Choice Awards.
The British boyband scooped a total of eight awards, including best male group and group song for Steal My girl. They couldn't be there in person, so accepted their surfboard prizes via video link.
Zayn left bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan in March and apparently swerved the ceremony last night to avoid bumping into his ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards.
Perrie didn't appear too downhearted though as she and Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock took home the surfboard award for breakout artists. They wowed the audience with a live rendition of hit new song Black Magic, with Perrie showing her ex exactly what he is missing in a stomach baring outfit.
There were a few tears to be had when late actor Paul Walker was honoured by his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel. Paul, who died in a car crash in November 2013, was awarded the action movie actor prize for Furious 7. The film also picked up best action movie.
"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about someone very, very important to us," Vin emotionally stated. "One of the best blessings in our lives is that we have the opportunity to call Pablo a brother. Paul Walker is here with us in spirit.
"This was a very special movie for us to make. We make these movies with our hearts. We really are a family… We are a true, true, true family."
Paul's daughter Meadow was sat in the audience, and Vin praised the teen.
Other winners from the world of film, TV and music include Shailene Woodley, Lucy Hale and Ed Sheeran.
