Austin Mahone thinks it’s mindblowing to see an exact replica of himself in 3D.
The 19-year-old singer has been memorialised forever in a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Orlando.
When he first saw the statue, the star was at a loss for words, because Austin felt it was similar to staring into the eyes of a clone.
"It looks just like me," he told People magazine. "They really got every detail right.
"They took measurements for four hours. Everything. How long my arms are. The distance between my thighs. Every angle of my face. They put these stickers all over my body.
"This isn't like looking in a mirror. This is 3D. Now I can see myself like everyone else sees me."
Austin knew how important it was to wear the right outfit while masterminds behind the wax figure were outlining his statue.
When the Dirty Work singer went to the meeting, he brought certain sentimental trinkets and made sure to be suited up in his finest clothes.
"I wore this outfit on the cover of a magazine. And I thought it looked cool, so I gave them to my figure to wear,” he explained.
“My grandmother gave me a special bracelet and it means a lot to me. So they made a replica of it for the figure."
Austin’s Madame Tussauds wax figure unveiling took place at the New York City museum earlier this week. The statue is now being transported to Madame Tussauds Orlando, where it will eventually be on display at the location’s music room.
