Perrie Edwards' friends are reportedly worried a baby won't fit into her "jet-setting career".
The Little Mix singer, 22, recently opened up about her plans to have children with her One Direction fiancé Zayn Malik and cited 24 as the prime age to start a family.
But with commitments with her band - which also consists of Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson - pals fret it's not the right time for Perrie and her beau.
"Having a baby at 24 is quite young and her jet-setting career isn't ideal for raising a baby," a source close to the singer said to British magazine Star.
"She doesn't need to rush into motherhood - she's got plenty of time for that."
While Zayn, 22, hasn't expressed much interest in having kids yet, Perrie made her views clear.
"Well, I would say 24 and that’s in three years’ time for me. It’s still quite a while away," she mused in the interview with Fabulous magazine.
"My mam was 24, though, so that’s always been my ideal age."
But there don't seem to be any fixed plans yet, as the wedding ceremony is still up in the air too. While Perrie and Zayn are content to take things easy, her mother has other ideas.
"Not yet, but me mam can’t wait and it’s getting on me nerves," she laughed.
"She’s like, 'What about the flowers? What about this dress?' And I’m like, 'Mam, stop!' We’ve been so busy, but I literally cannot wait to start planning my wedding."
