Cherie Currie has joined Joan Jett in denying allegations that she was a witness to the sexual assault of Jackie Fox by Runaways manager Kim Fowley back in the mid-70's.

Everything started earlier this week when Fox was interviewed for the Huffington Post where she said she had been told to take quaaludes after a New Year's Eve show by the group. The drug made her near unconscious, unable to move but still mentally aware that Fowley was raping her.

In the article, Fox states that both Jett and Currie were in the room at the time of the attack. Yesterday, Jett issued a statement saying that she has no recollection of the incident. Currie followed by posting the following on her Facebook on Friday:

All I can say is if Joan, Sandy and I saw an unconscious girl being brutally raped in front of us, we would have hit him over the head with a chair.
