Evan Ross has joked his unborn child with Ashlee Simpson will be very “spoiled”.
The 26-year-old The Hunger Games: Mockingjay actor is expecting a baby girl with his 30-year-old wife - their first offspring together.
And Evan is convinced their daughter, who is due any day now, will be spoiled rotten.
“That’s the main goal,” he joked to People magazine. “She’s going to come into this world being spoiled by her family and by my family. They can’t help it.”
Evan and Ashlee have already chosen a moniker for their tot.
But it won’t be a traditional name such as Susan or Jennifer.
“Yeah, it’s unique,” Evan noted. “You guys will figure out the story behind it once we tell the name.”
The couple tied the knot last year in Connecticut at an estate owned by Diana Ross, Evan’s mother.
Evan loves being a newlywed as marital life is proving to be blissful.
“It’s amazing,” he gushed. “The surprise [about being married] is that there are no surprises.”
The lovebirds are eagerly preparing for their new arrival.
And Evan is doting on Ashlee’s every need.
“I’m so excited. I can’t wait. We’re getting the nursery ready right now,” he said.
“I’m just taking care of her. That’s my job right now.”
Ashlee is also mother to six-year-old son Bronx, who she shares with ex-husband Pete Wentz.
Evan has previously spoken about how much he cares for the little boy.
“He’s my friend, we became like homies, we’re good buddies,” Evan gushed on The Wendy Williams Show last year.
“It’s amazing. I can’t even tell you how incredible that child is — he’s unbelievable! He’s been a blessing in my life and I’ve learned so much from him.”
