The Replacements have played their last show but earlier this week Australia’s You Am I got to open for their second and last shows ever.

The Replacements last show was at Primavera Sound in Portugal on Friday June 5, 2015. During the show frontman Paul Westerberg told the audience that they were watching the last time the band would play together.

Earlier in the week The Replacements performed two shows at The Roundhouse in London. Australia’s You Am I flew to London to open for those two shows.
“The Replacements were incredible,” You Am I’s Andy Kent relayed to Noise11.com.

The break-up comes as fans were expecting more from The Replacements, maybe even a new record. At their recent shows they performed the new song ‘Whole Food Blues’. Their last album was ‘All Shook Down’ in 1990.

The Replacements formed in Minneapolis in 1979. They released seven albums before breaking up in 1991. They reformed again in 2006 just for that year and then got back together this current time in 2012.
