Liam Payne has sparked rumours he is getting married.
The One Direction star has been friends with Sophia Smith since they were children and it's thought things turned romantic in late 2013. He has since been open about how much she means to him, even tweeting about how much he misses her when he is on tour.
Liam and his bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are currently on a break from their On the Road Again Tour, and he has been spending time in Los Angeles.
According to British magazine Heat, while there he visited the home of renowned wedding planner Mindy Weiss. She has arranged marriages for the likes of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale and Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, with Liam apparently chauffeured to her home in a black Cadillac Escalade. He is thought to have stayed there for a few hours, with his security team with him to ensure no one interrupted proceedings.
Liam and Sophia have never confirmed they are engaged, but rumours they are taking things to the next level have been swirling for months. They were compounded when the pair were seen looking at pieces in an upmarket jewellery store together.
The news will likely come as a blow to many One Direction fans, who have been known to post jealous comments to Sophia online in the past. That has been difficult for her to take, although Liam previously explained he's tried to counsel her through it.
"I don't really think she looks at it too much to be fair, because, well, I kind of told her not to anyways. There's just stuff out there that you don't want to see," he said.
Liam isn't the only band member with love on his mind; Heat magazine also claims Harry has a new girlfriend. He's thought to be romancing Joy Muggli, who is a talent agent and lives in Los Angeles.
