Idris Elba is the latest star to reveal he wants to work with Adele.
Singers Phil Collins and John Legend have both expressed the desire to collaborate with the British star, with Phil managing to pin her down earlier this year to finish off work started in 2013.
And now it seems Idris would also like the chance to collaborate with her. The 42-year-old rose to fame as an actor, but dabbles in music too. And it's not just Adele he's set his sights on.
"Musically I would like to work with any one of The Marley Brothers, I would like to work with Janelle Monáe, Adele," he told London Evening Standard.
As well as DJing regularly, Idris has also made an album. Mi Mandela was recorded in South Africa and Mali at the end of 2013, and was inspired by his role as Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
He'll next be working on an album inspired by his TV detective character John Luther. However, he's aware that he may have to fund the project himself after being dropped by record label Parlophone.
"It was not commercial enough. That’s fair enough,” he reasoned.
Idris was at London's British Film Institute for the world premiere of his new documentary Mandela, My Dad and Me yesterday.
Touching on James Bond rumours, the star admits he wishes 007 talk would stop.
"Honestly, it’s a rumour that’s really starting to eat itself. If there was ever any chance of me getting Bond, it’s gone.
"Daniel Craig actually set the rumour off. About four years ago he said Idris Elba would be a great Bond and then it started to creep. I blame Daniel," he smiled.
