Tame Impala unveil brand new single 'Cause I'm A Man'.

Three weeks since surprising the world with epic track ‘Let It Happen’ via their website, Tame Impala have today unveiled their first official single ‘'Cause I’m A Man'. Premiered on Triple J during Richard Kingsmill’s ‘2015’ show this morning UK time, ‘'Cause I’m A Man' will be released Tuesday 7th April through Fiction Records.

Along with the 7 minute 34 second epic 'Let It Happen', ‘'Cause I’m A Man is also confirmed to appear on Tame Impala’s hotly anticipated third album 'Currents'. Check out the artwork below for both the single and album.

Sketched out in planes, cars, hotels and homes since the completion of Tame Impala’s worldwide critically acclaimed 'Lonerism' in 2012, '‘Cause I’m A Man' and 'Let It Happen' were written, performed, recorded, produced and mixed by Kevin Parker in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Worldwide praise for Tame Impala's 'Let It Happen':

“Here he’s reframing Tame Impala as a band who can not only do Daft Punk and Darkside – acts who looked to recreate a pre-MTV period when rock bands, pop acts and dance producers had access to untold cash and studio time (and drugs) but do it better” - Pitchfork

"Constantly changing and evolving, it imbues elements of dance, sun-kissed psychedelia, and orchestral string sounds, all neatly drawn together with Kevin Parker's distinctive intonations. A giant leap and a natural progression onwards, 'Let It Happen' is the track everyone's been waiting for." - DIY

Much has changed since the Grammy Nominated and ARIA Award winning Tame Impala first emerged with an EP of dusty home recordings in 2008. By and large Kevin Parker’s approach to recording has not, though the sound coming out of his home studio though has vastly expanded, as has the number of people anticipating the fruits of his labour.

News of the new track comes only days before Tame Impala perform their first show of the year at Fox Theater, Pomona, US and headline support slot at Coachella. Full details of the band's international shows from April to September 2015 are below, including Irish and UK shows from September at Electric Picnic, End of the Road and Bestival.
