Ellie Goulding is reportedly keen to get married and have kids with her boyfriend.
The 28-year-old singer confirmed her relationship with British musician Dougie Poynter last May and the pair have been inseparable ever since. It looks like true romance for Ellie, who is allegedly looking to settle down with her beau.
"In many ways this is the happiest Ellie's ever been. Dougie's so kind and attentive - not to mention drop-dead gorgeous - that sometimes she has to pinch herself to prove its' real," an insider told British magazine Look. "They've chatted about having kids. And they've talked marriage - they want a week-long wedding in Goa or an abandoned Polynesian beach."
Despite Ellie reportedly being excited at the prospect of tying the knot, she is also said to be frightened, as she has a lot to lose if it were to go wrong. The blonde beauty is so loved up that she has apparently been "thrown out of kilter" by her feelings for Dougie.
But some of her girlfriends may not have the same outlook on their pal going the distance so soon. Ellie counts fellow A-listers such as Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez as close friends.
"Ellie loves hanging out with her girls, just being young and free. I wouldn't be surprised if they warn Ellie off rushing things and making mistakes. With all the travelling that her lifestyle brings, hanging out with Taylor and so is the closest Ellie gets to normal 20-something life," an insider added. "So when it comes to marriage, she's thinking, 'Why rock the boat?'"
If she and Dougie are still together next year, Ellie is apparently considering proposing on February 29 as part of the leap-year tradition in which women get down on one knee.
