Ghostpoet - London based Obaro Ejimiwe - is pleased to announce details of a brand new single ‘X Marks The Spot’ through Play It Again Sam on 4th May 2015.
Featuring vocals from Nadine Shah, ‘X Marks The Spot’ evolves from a brooding soundscape that sees Ejimiwe taking the lead with a tale of fear and it’s subsequent objectification, tempered by Shah’s sublime accompaniment. As Obaro says himself; “fear is just a state of mind and sometimes one has to mentally place fear in a box, out of sight, out of mind…”
‘X Marks The Spot’ is lifted from the recent album ‘Shedding Skin’ (out now on Play It Again Sam) whilst the accompanying video is the result of an Open Shoot collaboration between Ghostpoet and Topman that saw the remit opened up across social media inviting creative contributions from people to participate in the making of the video - be it photographs, video or sketches etc. Directed by Unknown Artists.
