Queensryche are continuing to forge forward with their new lead singer, Todd La Torre, who replaced Geoff Tate after the infamous group blowup in 2012.

Set for a 2016 date, the band is already taking pre-orders via their Pledge Music page where, on Friday, they revealed that Chris “Zeuss” Harris would be producing. Harris has previously helmed albums for Rob Zombie (Venomous Rat Regeneration, The Zombie Horror Picture Show, Spookshow), Hatebreed, Sanctuary, Shadows Fall and Devil You Know, among others.

Drummer Scott Rockenfield, who has been very active on the Pledge Music page keeping the fans updated, said “Zeuss has a great history of working with some of the top-notch metal and rock bands in the industry. He’s recently done some work with Rob Zombie, so super-fun stuff for us and we’re really excited about it. We’ve been digging in deep with pre-production and we’re going to start recording all sort of stuff.”

Word on the album is that it harkens back to the 1980’s sound of the band. Todd LaTorre told Metal Nation Radio “The songs that we have right now are, I would say, melodic. There are some heavy tunes on there that are just, like, really rocking.”
