Jeff Tweedy of Wilco believes the Grateful Dead had it right.

Tweedy says he doesn't feel threatened by online file sharing. He says people are going to share the music anyway, so it's better to play music live, foster a relationship with the audience and nurture some good will by allowing people to tape the shows.

He says, "You can't just sit in your home studio and crank out records and get rich." He says shutting down music file sharing is like closing a library, because there is so much material that people can access and enjoy. Tweedy says Wilco will tour sometime next year.
