Ryan Jarman from The Cribs has told XFM Scotland that the band's new record For All My Sisters is designed to please old fans - and win them new followers too.

It's an exciting time for The Cribs, with the band well into their UK tour and gearing up for the release of new album For All My Sisters. XFM Scotland's Jim Gellatly spoke to Ryan about the album, pigs and the impact that flooded toilets can have on tour plans.

Ryan admitted the band can't wait to get the record out: "We finished it back in the beginning of November so it seems like we've had it finished for quite a long time. We're definitely excited about people hearing it.

"The feeling in the band is there's no question that it's our best record. It's the one that we like the most as the members of the band."

And he thinks this could be a breakthrough album for the band with new fans.

"We purposefully tried to make this one really short and succinct. It's loaded with pop hooks. I feel like people who like The Cribs will like this record the best and people who haven't heard us before - it's a good way for them to get into us."

On the current tour, the band has been treating fans to a taste of the new material. Unsurprisingly, the raucous Cribs fanbase has been lapping it up.

Ryan told Jim: "We've been playing seven new tracks a night, which is kind of a lot...but it hasn't felt any different to the rest of the set, which is great. It just seems like everyone's just accepted them as old favourites all of a sudden."
