Lady Gaga is experiencing “goosebumps” over her Oscars performance.

The 28-year-old singer will be singing at the Academy Awards on Sunday.

And on her way to practice her set for the ceremony, Gaga gushed about how thrilled she is to be gracing the stage at such a lavish, classic Hollywood event.

“Headed to #Oscars rehearsal! I've got goosebumps already,” she wrote in a Twitter message, which included a blushing smiley face emoji. “What an honor to perform for the world and such an immensely talented audience!”

Gaga will be performing a special tribute at the 87th Annual Academy Awards, which will be held at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater on February 22nd.

Although she’s been featured at major awards shows in the past, this will be her debut Oscars set.

And Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are elated to have her as part of the programme.

“Lady Gaga is a once-in-a-lifetime artist whose musical evolution keeps growing,” they said in a statement released to Variety. “We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time.”

Gaga has many other things to be excited about, as she recently became engaged to Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney.

He popped the question on Valentine’s Day and presented the songstress with a stunning diamond engagement ring he co-designed with Lorraine Schwartz.

“My favorite part of my engagement ring, Taylor and Lorraine designed ‘TS’ in white diamonds on the band (sic),” Gaga wrote in a post in Instagram, which featured a close-up shot of the band. “He always called me by my birth name. Since our very first date. I'm such a happy bride-to-be! I can't stop smiling!!”
