AC/DC's Phil Rudd changes lawyers

Phil Rudd’s latest legal tactic has basically stopped him from working with AC/DC through-out 2015.

Any thought that Phil Rudd might still be able to make AC/DC’s tour behind their album Rock or Bust has been scuttled by the rescheduling of his next court appearance until April.

Rudd’s attorney, Paul Mabey, QC, has parted ways with the drummer prompting the courts to delay the next hearing. Rudd has been charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.

According to Mabey, the parting was amicable. “It’s just a professional decision that we have made.” Mabey has been replaced by Craig Tuck.

New Zealand based Rudd cannot leave his New Zealand base until after the case his heard. AC/DC will perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday with Chris Slade (AC/DC drummer 1989-1994) expected to return for the appearance.
