Showtime will debut the documentary Well Now You’re Here, There’s No Way Back, chronicling the career of rockers Quiet Riot, on January 29.

First time director Regina Russell was able to get access to the private video and photo archives of the band along with following them for four years to get interviews and a behind the scenes view of their dynamic. Russell got involved after Kevin DuBrow died. “When Frankie Banali told me he was planning to meet with Kevin DuBrow’s mother to get her blessing to go on with the band and find a new singer, I thought this would be an extraordinary story for a documentary.”

Among those that were interviewed for the film are Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses, Martha Quinn of MTV, and members of the band.

The film has been playing at film festivals for almost a year, including the Newport Beach Film Festival where it won Best Music Documentary, and will now be available to subscribers to Showtime. For those who won’t be able to see the January showing, the film will be released on iTunes and DVD on May 19.
