Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are reportedly planning “date nights” to reconnect.

The pair announced their ‘conscious uncoupling’ in March after ten years of marriage and raising children Moses, eight, and Apple, ten, together.

Both have been linked to others following their separation but after allegedly spending Thanksgiving and Christmas together, the couple are said to be keen to give things another go. They’ve been spotted out together frequently, mostly with their children, and they are apparently hoping to rekindle their romance.

“Gwyneth and Chris have said they want to go on date nights to reconnect as a couple. They want to go back to their favourite bars and restaurants that they used to go to when they first started dating,” a source explained to British magazine Closer. “They’ve discussed a possible holiday together in Mexico and they’ve said they’d love to go back to Santa Barbara, where they wed. They’ve told pals if everything goes well, they might renew their vows.”

Chris is thought to have got close to both Alexa Chung and Jennifer Lawrence since his and Gwyneth’s split, while his estranged wife was rumoured to have romanced Glee co-producer Brad Falchuk.

Despite the Sliding Doors actress’ fears of reconciling with Chris she’s said to be willing to give it a go for the sake of their offspring.

“Gwyneth has admitted to Chris she’s nervous. She knows the kids are eager for them to get back together and doesn’t want to get their hopes up for nothing,” the insider continued. “But they can’t deny their feelings for each other and Gwyneth’s told pals, if they can make it work, they have to try. She would love to feel like a family again.”
