Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have apparently had "a huge wedge" driven between them.
The power couple married in May of this year and are proud parents to daughter North, who was born in June 2013.
Kanye's alleged problems with Kim's family have been widely reported, with matriarch Kris Jenner said to be a particular sticking point. Now it seems things have come to a head once more.
"Kris and Kanye are both extremely headstrong, and can only spend so much time together before rubbing each together up the wrong way. Kris is used to being the driving force behind Kim's career and isn't coping well with Kanye's attempts to take the reins," a source divulged to British magazine Grazia. "Things have got so bad that when Kanye travels to LA he stays in a hotel to avoid confrontations.
"The fact that Kim is refusing to put her foot down with Kris is driving a huge wedge between them. That house is not nearly big enough for both Kris and Kanye, and a series of rows have meant that they haven't spoken for weeks."
Kim, 34, and Kanye have been living with Kris in the family home since June 2013, as renovations got underway for their new Bel Air mansion.
However, the couple decided to put the house back on the market a year later and have remained at Kris', despite the 37-year-old rapper allegedly being dismayed by the situation.
"Kim and Kanye are by no means on the rocks, but his tolerance for living with her family is wearing thin. As their first Christmas as a married couple approaches, he's disappointed that they're no closer to being in their own home, and isn't delighted at the prospect of spending more time at the centre of the Kardashian circus," the source continued.
"At the moment, he's refusing to spend Christmas with her family, which she won't budge on. With Kim refusing to address the problem, something's got to give."
