Britney Spears reportedly has no idea where her dad found her new boyfriend.
The 32-year-old star recently confirmed her relationship with Charlie Ebersol and has since posted several cute snaps of them together on her Instagram account. And it seems Britney has her father Jamie, who has also been her conservator since 2008, to thank, as he reportedly hand plucked his daughter's new beau - much to her surprise.
“Britney and Charlie have hit it off and she has her father to thank for this,” a source told RadarOnline. “She said she does not know where he finds them."
Charlie is the son of Saturday Night Live co-founder Dick Ebersol but has made a name for himself as a successful producer and writer. After it was previously reported he had to win over his girlfriend's family before anything could happen, he's now said to have gained their "seal of approval", with an insider adding: “He passed with flying colours!”
He's believed to have met Britney's loved ones after one of her Piece of Me performances during her Las Vegas residency, which is currently on hiatus until the end of next month.
“Charlie came on the last night of the show and she introduced him to everyone,” the insider continued. “This guy is really hot and he is incredibly wealthy, so we all obviously approve.
“It is just really great to see her so happy and we are glad that she has found someone that she can relate to who is on her level.”
It's no surprise those close to Britney were apprehensive about her new partner after her recent heartbreak. The blonde singer split from her ex David Lucado in August after he was reportedly caught being unfaithful on video.
Before this she was engaged to Jason Trawick, prior to which she was wed to Kevin Federline, who she has sons Sean and Jayden with.
