After headlining both T in the Park and Isle of Wight Festival, Biffy Clyro have been announced as the special headliners for this year’s intimate Relentless Live gig, to take place at the Troxy in November.
The Scottish three-piece band, renowned the world over for their full throttle live performances will headline the 2,500 capacity venue in East London on 22nd November 2014. Supported by the genre-defying DJ Zane Lowe and with more acts curated by Zane Lowe and Relentless to be announced over the next two months, it promises to be a night to you won’t want to miss.
Relentless Live is back for a second year after an unforgettable show in 2013, organised by Relentless Energy Drink to bring fans closer than ever to the artists they love. This year, iconic art deco theatre The Troxy in the heart of London’s East End has been chosen to host Relentless Live. The former classical cinema has been converted to a forward thinking music venue, hosting credible British artists as varied as PJ Harvey, The Horrors, The Specials and Julio Bashmore. With such an intimate venue, fans will get the experience of a lifetime.
Speaking about the one-off gig, the band said: "We are excited to be playing Relentless Live, especially as all ticket money goes to supporting the Relentless emerging talent initiative that aims to help artists breakthrough."
In addition to Biffy Clyro and Zane Lowe, one lucky hitherto unknown band will win the chance to perform at the event. As part of the Relentless Energy Drink Here to be Heard competition to discover the UKs next big talent, one unsigned band will get the opportunity to support their heroes. Here to be Heard DJ winner, Luke Hassan, will also be performing on the night after a hugely successful set on the Relentless Stage at Leeds Festival.
Tickets go on sale via the Relentless Energy Drink App from 10am 10th September 2014 and on general sale on 12th September 2014.
