Nick Cannon reportedly wants his split from Mariah Carey to be "amicable".
The couple have been married since 2008, but it's thought things have taken a turn for the worse recently. It was reported Nick had been living away from his wife for the last few months, and he was even quoted as saying there has been “trouble in paradise", though he’s since denied saying this.
Both parties have been spotted out separately since the news arose, and Mariah was missing the ring on her wedding finger. The America's Got Talent host is reportedly keen to keep things good natured, especially for the sake of their twins Moroccan and Monroe.
"Ideally Nick would like the divorce to be sorted sooner rather than later, but with Mariah disagreeing with his suggestions on how they can split amicably, it doesn't look likely," a source told British magazine Closer.
The publication also claims the couple's thoughts on how to look after their little ones differ dramatically, which could be one of the reasons their romance is allegedly coming to an end. It is thought when arguments began Nick decided it would be best to move out of their New York apartment, as he didn't want the youngsters to witness their parents fighting.
It was previously reported Mariah also grew bored of her husband's partying antics.
"She's described Nick as a 'man-child' and says she can't deal with his immaturity - she feels they don't have anything in common anymore and that he still wants to lead the life of a carefree bachelor, while she prefers nights in with the kids," an insider previously commented.
