Billboard exclusively reports that EDM superstar DJ Alesso has signed with Def Jam / EMI UK for a recording contract.

The 23-year-old Swedish DJ-producer also debuted a brand-new track, “Tear The Roof Up,” on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, which was named a “Future Exclusive” by the influential radio host.

Alesso is the second DJ to sign with Def Jam, following Afrojack's full-length debut "Forget The World" in May.

“Tear The Roof Up” has been a staple in Alesso’s live sets from recent months . The nearly 7-minute banger tears through several builds and bass drops, crescendoing to a transcendent 90-second finale that’s essential for hyping up a crowd of thousands.

“I wanted to make a massive song that would literally make people want to tear off the roof,” Alesso says in a statement.
