Courteney Cox has sparked speculation she will marry next month.

The Friends actress turns 50 on June 15th and is hosting a lavish party to celebrate. She's keeping details of the event close to her chest, with claims it could actually be an occasion to mark her marriage to Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid.

"She's throwing a big party at home in LA and it looks like it'll be more than a birthday bash," an insider told British magazine Heat. "She's asked guests to wear white and dress smart - and has let slip that there's going to be a BIG surprise."

Courteney and Johnny, 37, were first linked last year and marriage rumours sprang up in February. They were cemented by the actress' good friend Ed Sheeran, who set the pair up, when he suggested a union wasn't out of the question.

Courteney has nine-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette, with both her ex-partner and child thrilled to see her so happy.

"Coco's going to be a bridesmaid and David has been asked to make a speech. They want to put on a united front and show that everyone's happy," the source explained.

"Court's friend Sheryl Crow has been asked to perform at the party and Jen Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Neve Campbell are also on the list. It's been a whirlwind romance, but they are the perfect match. They're so happy together."

David and his new partner Christina McLarty recently welcomed their son Charlie West. Courteney has spoken of how happy she is for them, and it's been claimed she is also considering adding to her brood.

"I’m sure Courteney and Johnny will have quietly been investigating the surrogate option,” an insider previously revealed to British magazine Grazia.

“She won’t want to put too much pressure on the situation, but will be realistic about the chances of it happening naturally. She wants to have one more child and to give Johnny the chance of fatherhood. “
